We are delighted to let you know that the Scottish Government has now published the Youth Justice Vision for 2024-26. We would like to thank all colleagues who engaged with us in the update process.
The vision includes acknowledgement of the ongoing commitment to Keeping The Promise; implementation of the Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Act 2024; the imminent incorporation of UNCRC; future changes to secure accommodation and the wider spectrum of care plan for children; consideration of a future increase in age of criminal responsibility, with that work due to report in December 2024; and future Children’s Hearings redesign.
